Top 5 Things to Know About the Diablo Immortal 2025 Roadmap
1. Epoch of Madness Storyline
The Age of Madness is a crucial narrative thread that will be experienced throughout 2025 in Diablo Immortal. This is the direct continuation of what happened after Diablo’s fall and goes into the resulting power vacuum in his wake.
Following the defeat of Diablo, the Sanctuary world is left in disarray. The lack of the Lord of Terror leaves a power vacuum, and people start to fight for dominance. This makes the way for the rise of new villains and the return of the old ones.
At the center of the Epoch of Madness is Shardborne Albrecht, Diablo’s previous human vessel. Albrecht’s corruption into a monster is due to the energy of the Worldstone, which has been broken and dispersed throughout Sanctuary. This corruption is a turning point in the story, as Albrecht becomes a player in the battle for power.
Storyline Progression
The Writhing Wilds (Early 2025):
In this update, the Sharval Wilds area is revealed, where the player will face an upheaval of the land itself. Here the narrative gets unfolding, introducing players to what lies ahead.
Prince of Freedom (April to June):
This patch will continue with the story, with the power struggle and emerging new factions being the core. It will have quests and storylines that explore the consequences of Diablo’s downfall in greater detail.
Flesh Harvest (July to September):
This update is an important milestone in the story, with the release of a new class closely related to the Epoch of Madness theme. The Flesh Harvest will touch on corruption and change.
The First & Last King (October to December):
The year’s last update wraps up the Epoch of Madness saga. It will most likely entail an ultimate showdown against the forces of evil and resolution of the power struggle that characterized the year.

2. New Class Introduction
One of the anticipated new things announced in the Diablo Immortal 2025 Roadmap is the release of a new class. The class will be coming between July and September in the Flesh Harvest update.
Diablo Immortal has already received two new classes after its launch: the Blood Knight and the Tempest. They have added to the game’s cast and given players more varied playstyles.
The next class will be the third post-launch one and is strongly related to the Epoch of Madness narrative.
The new class is connected with the story of the Epoch of Madness. This narrative delves into corruption, change, and power struggles in a Diablo-less world. The abilities and history of the class would most probably align with these themes.
The new class will probably have a unique set of skills that distinguish it from other classes. These skills may be new kinds of attacks, defensive skills, or support abilities that add something to the game.
Considering the link to the Epoch of Madness, the class could have a playstyle that focuses on coping with corruption or controlling the forces of chaos. This could include abilities that take advantage of enemy vulnerabilities or create synergies with other classes.
The class will be heavily incorporated into the story, perhaps with a separate storyline or quests that delve into its background and purpose in the world.
Similar to other classes, the new class should have its own cosmetic items and customization choices. This will enable players to customize their characters and be themselves in the game.
3. New Zones and Quests
New Zones
Sharval Wilds:
The Sharval Wilds is one of the new zones that have been announced, and it will be included in the early updates. The Sharval Wilds is defined by a disruption in the land itself. The Sharval Wilds are closely tied to the Epoch of Madness narrative.
Other Zones:
Outside the Sharval Wilds, further areas are in development for future updates. These areas will extend the game world. Each area will be themed around the Epoch of Madness, including corruption, change, and power struggles.
New Quests
Story Quests:
New quests will be added with every update, furthering the story of the Epoch of Madness. These quests will explore more of the narrative, giving players a deeper understanding of the lore of the game and what is happening in Sanctuary.
Side Quests and Activities:
Apart from story quests, there will be some additional side quests and activities. These will provide players with even more ways to explore the world of the game, interact with non-playable characters, and find secrets that were previously unknown.

4. PvP and Marketplace Updates
The Diablo Immortal 2025 Roadmap features various updates to improve the game’s PvP (Player versus Player) experience and Marketplace functionality.
A new Battlegrounds map is scheduled, which has been created keeping in mind player feedback to ensure a nicely balanced PvP experience. This map will feature new gameplay mechanics and strategies to make PvP combat exciting and demanding.
The plan also states existing work towards leveling and balancing PvP play. It involves class skill adjustments, item properties, and general match design to promote a balanced and entertaining experience for everybody involved.
Regular PvP updates also tend to lead to lots of community talk and activity. They will post their strategies, disassemble balance revisions, and get involved in tourneys or competitions, building up a healthy PvP community.
Among the main features being added is an improvement on Wynton’s Grand Market, which is a trading hub within the game. Trading between the multiple server clusters will be available from the enhanced market.
The ability to trade between server clusters will expand the liquidity of the market so that players have access to more items. It will also stabilize prices and lessen the dependency on third-party trade platforms.
In addition to the cross-server trading feature, the marketplace UI and functionality can also be enhanced. This can involve enhanced search filters, more informative item listings, and optimized trading processes to make trading more efficient.
5. Crossover Event and Celebrations
Diablo Immortal has in the past even hosted a World of Warcraft crossover event that featured WoW-themed challenges and cosmetics.
The event gained popularity with players, and fans are anticipating other collaborations to take place in the future.
The 2025 roadmap also specifies a new crossover event planned during April to June. While no specific franchise for this event has been revealed, it is predicted to be on the same theme as past events.
This could be in the form of theme items, quests, or challenges that incorporate components from another Blizzard franchise or a different game franchise.
Players love the novelty of engaging with characters or objects from other franchises, and crossover events tend to draw in new players who are interested in both Diablo Immortal and the partnering franchise.
Diablo Immortal will be marking its third anniversary in June 2025. The occasion will be celebrated with special events, rewards, and potentially exclusive content.
Anniversary events usually consist of limited-time quests, special rewards, and community challenges.
Players can look forward to exclusive rewards, including anniversary-themed cosmetics, mounts, or other rewards. These rewards tend to be greatly desired by players and are used as a commemoration of the game’s durability and community backing.
The anniversary events will probably feature community events, including group challenges, giveaways, or contests. These events create a sense of community and invite players to engage in collective experiences.
